Things to know before coming in for a class.

Preparing For Class

  • Arrive 15 Ė 20 minutes before class. Newcomers will meet with the instructor and complete an intake form. Others need time to prepare for class.
  • If you have a medical condition, consult with your doctor before attending and communicate with your instructor regarding your movement.
  • Come to class on an empty stomach.
  • Drink plenty of water before and after class.
  • Bring water, a mat, and a small towel. Mats are provided if you do not have one.
  • Always enter and leave the yoga room quietly while class is in session.
  • Practice in silence in the yoga room.
  • Know that you do not have to participate in every posture. Get the attention of the instructor if you would like help with props and adjustments.
  • Let go of expectations and enjoy the journey and flow of movement.


  • Wear fitted exercise clothing that isnít too loose or too tight.
  • Students typically practice barefoot.
